Mutu out of Romania's World Cup qualifiers

Romanian forward Adrian Mutu will miss the World Cup qualifiers in 2010 against France and Austria, after suffering a thigh injury, the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) said on Wednesday.


The FRF Fiorentina Mutu said he had suffered a minor injury to his right thigh and asked the FC Timisoara Gheorghe Bucur forward to the team.

Romania are fifth in Group Seven with seven points from six games, 11 points behind the leaders of Serbia. They play France in Paris on Saturday and hosts Austria four days later...[source]
